CrAzY life :)

Well, its been almost a month since I've written anything, its been a busy few weeks :).

But lets hit the hightlights -  it finally got cool enough to go to the park for a little bit - I never thought I'd been so happy to see a 97 degree day, but Ayden and I were thankful to get out of the house for a while.

He had a blast!!! I love watching his independence grow, he's getting so big!!!



Alyssa is loving 1st grade - continually getting 100's - she is so smart! What can I say, she is her mother's daughter, lol jk.... As much as she is like me, hopefully she won't be as crazy as I winded up being! lol

How cute is she!?!? I love this kid!!!

And we are continuing to search for

a house to buy....

We are just praying that God leads us to the right one. We have been thinking about moving to Little Elm, Oak Point or Frisco, but the more I pray and look everything keeps drawing us back to Denton, so who knows, maybe it isn't our time to leave Denton yet. And I can't say that I'm upset about that, I do love Denton! :)
But as far as house hunting goes....ughhhhhh which one, which one. We have resigned to keep the attidude that God is in control and that everything happens for a reason and everything will work out with the right one and we will just know....but goodness, this is getting tiring!
But how blessed we are to be able to be buying a house at this point in our lives!!!

Those are pretty much the high points....ohhhhh and its FOOTBALL season! You know that makes for a happy household around here!!!

When did I get old enough to have a 1st grader?!?!

Today, I walked Alyssa into her first day of first grade.

 As I walked thru the halls, a thought hit me, when I did I get old enough to have a first grader?! Holy Cow!!! I've got a baby on my hip and a big, beautiful, intelligent 6 year old starting first grade! Its surreal.

I am so blessed to have been entrusted with these kiddos. They make it all worth while. I just can't believe they are growing so fast. I will say this for myself though......I was much better than last year. I'll blame last year on the post-partum horomones! I've grasped the idea of being a parent that raises independent kids with both hands. I know they were given to me so that I could raise them to be independent, well rounded, productive members of society and that involves them going off to school and having a life. So, though last year I cried, and I'll probably cry on Ayden's first day of Kindergarten, today I smiled. I smiled because my beautiful baby is growing up into a wonderful little girl and its a blessing to watch!!!

Like Father Like Son

Since the moment I laid eyes on my little man, after I thought 'Oh my goodness I love you soooooo much', I thought, 'wow!!! you look JUST like your dad!!!' And of course that was not a disappointment ; )   Anyways, it was no surprise to me when all of our family, friends and nurses commented on the 'strong genes'. I wasn't taken aback when complete strangers would see us all together and comment on their likeness or when some stranger at the lake resort commented as I walked by about how easy it would be to find "that lil' cutie's daddy". And today as I was looking thru older pictures I came across one that completely floored me. It is Jeramy a couple of years back at a party. And then there is one a couple of weeks back on our camping trip of Ayden. They are IDENTICAL!!! It's soooo funny and cute, I couldn't help but share....... Sooooo...here's the best example I can give of "Like father, like son"

Can't wait for this weekend! Great way to start August '11!!!!

I am so stoked about this weekend!!! First I'll pick up my favorite little chick-a-dee for some much needed chill time.....

Then, Saturday we get to celebrate one of my FAVORITE dance sisters and her soon-to-be born precious baby girl, Harper Elizabeth....

And then I get to end it on Sunday by spending some much needed time with my hubby, wonderful kiddos and my bestie, Mrs Taylor Phillips!!!!

I'm so blessed to have so many wonderful people and blessings in my life!!! Its gonna be a great weekend!!!!





The start of our blogging era.... : )

Soooo....all of my hip friends now have blogs, so I thought, "ehhhh, why not?" We don't lead a super exciting life, but this is a fun and easy way to keep in touch and keep everyone update on our day-to-day going-on's.....

The kids are getting soooo big soooo fast so this is a great way to let all of our friends and family that aren't in this area keep up with them too!!!
